Annually we offer a building “contest” to our club membership. "Best of Show" winners Are selected by Club Member Majority Vote at a Specific Monthly Meeting.

Entry must fit within a footprint of 12 in. x 12 in. (or 144 sq. inches distributed as desired by the Builder).
Each declared entrant shall then be provided with a “prop”, which MUST appear somewhere on the model’s exterior. The “prop” may be cut, used in whole or in part - totally at the builder’s discretion.

Height of the model is open to the modeler so long as the model fits the above “Footprint”.

Theme: We are concentrating on Industrial Buildings in and around Buffalo that would be recognized by people visiting our Fair display, as well as other events/displays we have during the year .

2017
Theme: We are going to model Buffalo & The Western New York Region as close in character to the 1940s as possible, or at least buildings that existed in 1940 and possibly are still in use today, either as the "original" building, or what it has been structurally renovated & currently repurposed into . This also includes buildings that involve or represent nationally/regionally known entities, such as Frank Lloyd Wright, The Anchor Bar, Bell Aerospace, Shea's Performing Arts Center, etc.

Entry must fit within a footprint of 24x24 in. or no larger than 576 sq. inches, height must be in proportion to scale.
Scale must be noted on entry card (Choices: 1:32, 1:29, 1:24, 1:22.5, 1:20.3).
A minimum of 80% of scratch built parts, with up to 20% commercially purchased parts.
